[Gene McArthur's fight to get a crop duster's license without an SSN]
|
The evils of tyranny are rarely seen but by him who resists it.
John Hay - Castilian Days, II, 1872 To separate yourself from the SSN attached to you The letter should be sent to your local Social Security Administration Office, by certified mail with Return Receipt Requested. The letter should be brief and state your beliefs. I can't tell you want to say. This is your proclamation of beliefs. If you don't know what to say, then you aren't ready. What should happen then is your letter will be forwarded to the SSA/Office of Public Inquires in Baltimore, Maryland. The Baltimore office should confirm they got your letter. At this point, if you stop using the number, you have demonstrated publicly you have rejected the Mark, and have proof of it. Note: There is also a form, SSA-521 "Request for withdrawal of application." Since people get an SSN by filing an SS5, "Application for Social Security" you are withdrawaling that request. In fact, the SSA has an entire process spelled out in their "Applications and Interview" Policy manual to handle such requests. The process is noted at: GN 00206.050 - Manner of Requesting W/D." Some people use this form in place of the letter. I don't think there is any difference which you use. The bureaucrats might have an opinion, but God only cares that you take the action and make your stand be known. Now forget the number. Never say it again. Never provide it to anyone that asks for it. Put your life in the hands of the Lord and accept His son as your savior. Now go watch The Passion of the Christ to see what He went through for you. |
